I am absolutely stubborn enough that I’d daily one if I could ever afford it. They’re so pretty.

small size = easy maneuvering in parking garages

For sure. No power steering, but it’s so light it probably doesn’t matter.

I’m with you. I test drove one, a while back, on my birthday. Good memory.

I initially thought your were laughing at the F-150, which is clearly less suitable as a commuter car.

I’d be worried that the next F-350 into the garage would pull into my spot and not even notice the Hethel speck in the slot.

And that’s just the lower level. You should see the shit they’re driving on level 4

This reminds me of when I drive the AZ-1 to work. I can park in the motorcyc le spots if I had to.

Well the US ones have a Toyota engine so it should fine.

IDK, an F150 is kind of big.

Elise is top 5 favorite drives for me. Would still rather DD a classic than one though because of the get in/get out routine and being invisible to people like the driver of that ridiculous f150.

In here t he treatment on the concrete of parking lots makes them stickier than asphalt (or maybe simply that it’s cleaner) .
My dying steering pump was making unassisted hickups on this kind of parking before it was doing anywhere else.

I would love to have the same size of spot you have, here is what we got here :

It’s a small garage below our building. There’s the main level (first basement), and then one below that. No supercars, but plenty of car guys and gals with nice rides sprinkled in.

I am very grateful for my garage. The spot I usually take in my car is all by itself - no chance of door dings.

Yeah, only way to survive in an Elise is in a bright color with a loud exhaust.

You should have seen the three quad cab long bed F350s a construction company managed to parallel park in a row where every truck was the exact dimensions of the spot. That was impressive. But it also means all the people poorly parked in the footprint of a long boi F350 have no excuse.

The ingress/egress is a bit of a pain but once inside I’m always surprised by how relatively roomy they are. I can fit my 6’5” self into an Elise/Exige just fine, whereas I can’t drive any Miata except the ND (which I can only barely, with my head rubbing the roof). I consider this a sign that I’ll have buy one at some point.

I was feeling stupid last Friday and started considering an Evora as a daily. There is a rear seat that the dog could use!
But I could never show up at a meeting with clients in something like that, I’d never hear the end of it as I’m only just barely supposed to be making a profit in their eyes. I could try to plan on driving the Outback on those days, but . . . then I exercised the GTI on Saturday afternoon and remembered that it is plenty of fun without any of the Lotus-related challenges.

The Evora 400 is definitely on my “want” list.
Sucks that your job kind of defines what you can/should drive, but the GTI is no slouch!
